Base steel weighs 7.85 kg per m² per mm of thickness. The raised pattern adds roughly 5–7% depending on pattern shape (diamond ≈ +5%, teardrop ≈ +6–7%). Quoted weights below are approximate — the invoice basis (theoretical or weighed) decides the final number.

Ordering Notes That Save Arguments
- "Thickness" means the base plate excluding the pattern height — total caliper measures higher. Agree this in writing.
- Pattern choice: diamond is classic; teardrop gives better grip when direction matters (stairs, ramps).
- Grades: Q235B is the standard; A36 and S275JR available. Galvanized checkered plate for outdoor walkways — ask for hot-dip after fabrication.
